Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 1, 2026 | Last Updated: May 1, 2026
These Terms of Service explain the conditions of use and scope of responsibility for the household finance service provided by Pockee (the “App”).
By installing or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator and users
in relation to the use of the personal household finance service provided by the App.
Article 2 (Service Features)
The App provides the following features:
- Income and expense entry and management
- Category, payment method, and budget management
- Recurring transaction registration and reminders
- Installment and loan information management, including repayment schedule calculations
- Category and transaction name suggestions based on transaction history stored on the device
- Transaction entry candidate suggestions
- Data backup and restoration through Google Drive
Entry assistance, suggestion features, and loan or installment calculation features are provided for user convenience only.
Whether to save a transaction, what content to enter, and whether to use suggestion or calculation results are decisions made by the user after review.
Article 3 (Changes to the Terms)
The operator may update these Terms when necessary due to service improvements, legal changes, or operational needs.
If these Terms are changed, the changes will be announced in the App or on this page.
If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you may stop using the App.
Article 4 (Data Storage and Backup)
Household finance data is stored primarily on the user’s device.
If the user uses the Google Drive backup feature, backup data is stored in the user’s own Google Drive account.
- The operator does not collect or view the user’s on-device data or Google Drive backup data on a separate server.
- The operator is not responsible for data loss caused by device loss, device reset, app deletion, failure to back up, Google account issues, or similar circumstances.
- Users should regularly back up important data themselves.
- Google’s terms of service and privacy policy may apply during backup and restoration through Google Drive.
Article 5 (Entry Assistance Feature)
The App may request notification access permission only when the user directly enables the entry assistance feature.
This permission is activated only when explicitly allowed by the user, and the user may revoke the permission at any time in the device settings.
The entry assistance feature analyzes notifications allowed by the user on the device to suggest transaction entry candidates.
Suggested content is registered as a transaction only when the user directly reviews and saves it.
Entry candidate data is processed on the device and is not sent to a separate server operated by the operator.
Article 6 (Limitations of Loan, Installment, and Suggestion Features)
- Loan and installment calculations, repayment schedules, and interest calculation results are for reference only and are based on the values entered by the user.
- Actual amounts may differ depending on the financial institution’s calculation method, contract terms, fees, interest rate application method, rounding rules, and other conditions.
- Category suggestions, transaction name suggestions, and entry candidates are assistance features for user convenience, and their accuracy, completeness, or suitability is not guaranteed.
- For important financial decisions related to loans, repayments, taxes, accounting, investments, or similar matters, users should confirm actual amounts and conditions with a financial institution or qualified professional.
Article 7 (User Responsibilities)
- Users are responsible for checking the accuracy of transaction records, budgets, loan or installment information, and other data they enter or save.
- Users should review and edit entry candidates, suggestion results, and calculation results before saving or using them.
- Users must not enter another person’s information without permission or use the service for improper purposes.
- Users must not copy, modify, distribute, or analyze the App for improper purposes without authorization.
Article 8 (Limitation of Responsibility)
- Statistics, charts, suggestions, entry candidates, and loan or installment calculation results provided by the App are for reference only, and their accuracy, completeness, or suitability is not guaranteed.
- Users should review entry candidates, suggestion results, and calculation results before using them, and users are responsible for managing the data they save.
- The App cannot reasonably be responsible for errors or data loss caused by circumstances beyond the App’s direct control, such as device issues, permission settings, notification format changes, or failure to back up data.
Article 9 (Service Changes and Termination)
If important changes to the service or service termination become necessary, the operator will provide notice in the App or on this page to the extent reasonably possible.
If service termination is announced, users should export or back up any necessary data themselves.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)
These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
If a dispute arises in relation to these Terms or use of the service, the operator and the user will attempt to resolve it through good-faith discussion.
If no agreement is reached, a lawsuit may be filed with the competent court under applicable law.
